New Design Rex Series 9000 traditional tapered adapter mount spherical roller bearing units provide versatile arrangements for supporting shafts that carry substantial radial or a combination of radial and thrust loads. The Series 9000 tapered adapter is extra heavy duty for any given shaft size because the base bearing size is one size larger than standard. Series 9000 provides full bore contact for maximum shaft holding power, concentricity and running accuracy and accommodates for undersized shafting. The new bearing design offers higher dynamic load ratings than the previous design, runs cooler and runs quieter yielding a bearing that lasts longer in the application. Dynamic and static misalignement capability has been increased to ±2.0°. The rollers are aligned by the retainers and the inner race, so despite misalignment, the roller load is always equally distributed across the surface. This distribution of load, prevents high edge load stresses on the rollers and therefore it is not necessary to derate the bearing for misalignment conditions within the ±2.0°. This series of bearing is fairlyy to mount, sealed, prelubricated and does not require adjustment during mounting. Additional key features include: Tapered adapter mount to lock the inner ring securely to shaft; Choice of various seal types based upon application; All seals assure protection with up to ±2.0° of misalignment in all directions, provide operation on hardened and ground inner ring extensions and can be removed without disassembly of the bearing; Field adjustable bearing clearances based upon application need; Fully self-aligning spherical roller bearing that accommodates for operational misalignment or misalignment due to installation; Case-carburized inner races that provide a hard, fatigue resistant surface and a tough, crack resistant, ductile core; Sturdy, compact, one-piece cast iron, cast steel or ductile iron housing.
