Details
Carrier subassemblies are elements within a planetary gear reducer that hold the planet gears. Carrier subassemblies are also used to drive the next reduction stage in a multi-stage planetary gear reducer. Carrier subassemblies consist of a carrier, planet gears and other pieces that support the planet gears within the carrier. Other than the retainer plate located inside the center of the carrier between the planet gears, carrier subassemblies have no user serviceable parts.
